I have known Melanie for years and years – even before I became a photographer. Melanie works with my wife Sarah and has done so for what seems like forever (I’m estimating now, lol). She has seen my progression from the very start and watched me develop as a wedding photographer. We actually all use to go to the Belvedere Steak and Crabhouse together and I’d annoy Melanie by photographing her and all of Sarah’s other co-workers while I was getting my head around which ever new camera I’d purchased at the time. Even if Melanie was having a party I’d be there with my cameras.
I love photographing my close friends and family, so when Melanie asked to photograph her wedding I was so chuffed and honoured!
Melanie is the sweetest person in the world and it’s no surprise why everyone she knows loves her dearly, and wow – she seems to know a lot of people! I’ve only met Chris a couple of times over the years, but it’s great to see Mel so happy. Melanie deserves a wonderful man and I have no doubt in my mind Chris will be a great husband to her! Their Belvedere Hotel wedding was ever more special for me because my wife Sarah was a guest so every now and again I would turn around and notice her there. I don’t think she’s seen me work in about 4 years, so it was a bit of a buzz for me.
There are mountains of images from this wedding that I still have to get through so I’ll sign off and thank you all for checking out these few sneak peaks from the day! I will endeavour to post more as I get closer to completing the collection. Have a great day (or evening).
