I met Steven and Alison last year and finally got to photograph their wedding. The weather was playing its usual tricks and it wasn’t giving away any secrets. “Was it going to rain or was it going to shine?”

Even though the day started out overcast it ended up being sunny. Steven and Alison chose to marry with an old world charm at the Newstead House and I have to say for me as a photographer it was a treat! Such a wonderful location with so much history. When it came to photographing some of the portraits the staff were kind enough to pull down the ropes and let us use the rooms and interact with the furniture.

We also took a drive down to Kangaroo Point and made the most of magic hour.

The Port Office Hotel where the reception took place is a very really stylish venue and was an excellent place for a photographer to create. ¬†Steve and Alison are a very charming couple with great personalities and this added to their images! By the time the day had ended I felt like I’d made some new friends. Here are just a few images from the day. I ended up with so many keepers that I struggled to pick these out. There are so many more that I just can’t fit in this blog!
