Living Their Best Lives

There are days when I’m reminded just how much I love my job as a photographer, and today was definitely one of them. Photographing Courtney and Matt was very rewarding for me as a creative. They’ve been together for  two years and are engaged — I’ll be the lucky photographer capturing their wedding next year at Tiffany’s, Maleny! Words can’t express how thrilled and honoured I am for that opportunity. Just imagining them going through that life-changing event together fills me with excitement. It’ll be monumental!

Even though it’s late at night (11:13 pm, to be exact), I’ve already finished sorting through the pictures from their shoot. There were barely any shots that didn’t work—only a few blinks and duplicate frames, really. The rest? Pure magic.

Now, I should mention that I don’t usually dive right into editing photos immediately after a shoot. It tends to leave me mentally drained. But Courtney and Matt’s infectious energy has me so inspired that I couldn’t help but keep working on the collection.

It’s All About Gratitude

A while back, I shared a post on Facebook about the power of gratitude and how it can genuinely impact an image. Some might have thought I was just being whimsical or daydreaming, but these pictures of Courtney and Matt prove my point. Just look at their radiant joy! To me, these images show them living their best lives to the fullest and cherishing one another. Honestly, nothing inspires me more. I didn’t want the afternoon to end.

Every once in a while, a couple comes along that floors me, and I couldn’t be more grateful I got the opportunity to photographing the love between Courtney and Matt.
