Yandina Station Wedding

Being a Sunshine Coast Wedding Photographer, I’ve had the privilege of photographing lots of really special moments at lots of really idyllic locations.

This time the special moments were overflowing at Yandina Station. Today I had the pleasure of photographing Kathleen and Stephen’s wedding at this picture perfect countryside venue. You really can’t go wrong when a venue looks the way Yandina Station does. With its surroundings, exceptional food and elegant styling it creates a combination that ensures a magical day couples won’t forget. I know that sounds like a tourist ad, but it’s the truth. It doesn’t matter where the camera is pointing – the backdrop is always beautiful!

Yandina Station – A Venue Like No Other

From the moment you set foot on Yandina Station, you’re immediately struck by what I can only describe as an enchanting wedding venue with more than a few bucketloads of history. Wedding photography at Yandina Station is a dream for me, with countless opportunities to capture breathtaking moments against such picturesque surrounds. I was also made to feel very welcome by Tracey and the team which I’m very grateful for, thank you!

The cherry on the top though was the food, which was lovingly crafted by their very talented chef, Owen. I was lucky enough to eat a guest meal, and every bite was a testament to Owen’s passion for what he does. I even had to go and congratulate him. I think I said, “That wasn’t wedding food! That was something else!”

I’m hopeless in the kitchen, so of course I have massive respect for what chefs can do!

Elegant Styling and Florals

Kathleen and Stephen’s special day was gorgeous. What elevated it even further were the stunning floral arrangements by Mondo Floral Designs and the exquisite styling by Stellar Hire. The attention to detail was remarkable. I particularly loved the variety of vases. The end result was an ambiance that perfectly complemented bride, Kathleen’s very graceful demeanour.

A Day Filled with Love, Laughter, and a Tonne of Sunshine

The day was almost completely void of clouds, so it was bright. Not even the sun though could match the warmth and atmosphere at Yandina Station. The laughter and love shared by Kathleen, Stephen, and their guests was contagious which made my job as their wedding photographer an absolute delight.

Having previously photographed two of Stephen’s brothers’ weddings as well as one of Kathleen’s sister’s weddings, this day felt more like I was hanging out with friends than work. The fact I knew more people than usual added to the magic of the day, making every moment that little bit more special.

I have a great deal of appreciation and respect for how special the bond is between their two families, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of it over the last 10 years of knowing everyone.

Grateful to be me

I will always be grateful for the opportunity to photograph people’s love stories – especially when the couple’s as wonderful as Kathleen and Stephen. Each wedding I photograph serves as a reminder of the beauty that exists in the world and the joy that love can bring.

Yandina Station, with its awe-inspiring surroundings, exceptional food, and elegant styling, provides the perfect setting for these once-in-a-lifetime moments. I look forward to capturing many more memories at this enchanting venue and sharing in the happiness of those who choose to begin their journey as husband and wife here.
