A New Era is Coming!
This is the first time in over a decade I haven’t worked as a full-time photographer thanks to Covid. It’s a strange feeling. On one hand I miss working terribly and hate not being able to go to a wedding, but on the other hand I know that this break has presented the perfect opportunity to recharge, refocus and replan. Hey, it’s also given me enough time to finally spring clean the store rooms and the garage. Yay, kickin’ goals!
Jokes aside, I accept no other option than to make this lockdown work for me! I choose to come out the other side better than what I was going in! Besides, I’ve often wished I had more time, and now that I do I’m making the most of it!
I’ve always felt lucky to be a wedding photographer, but this spare time has allowed me a chance to reflect and understand just how much my job deserves my gratitude. So for the record, I am incredibly thankful to be a wedding photographer! I’m genuinely looking forward to the future. I foresee amazing things to come once the proverbial cage has been reopened. I’m more inspired and energised than ever and I can’t wait to see all my ideas come to fruition! A new era is coming!
Yesterday I made a wedding slideshow featuring some of my recent images (and a couple of oldies). As I watched it back I couldn’t help smiling. How lucky am I to have been a part of so many beautiful moments over the past 12 years!? I’m proud of what I’ve done. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m thankful for that. If being a wedding photographer had never been a challenge I never would’ve valued it so much.
Thank you to everyone who has invited me to photograph their weddings. I’ll be eternally grateful!
